About Me

Violet Jillane PhotoArt is a published photographer based in the Pacific Northwest whose work has been featured in magazines and various online features including Vogue and Vogue Italia, Elegant and Ellements to name a few.

My style and technique when taking photos is probably different then what you’re used to. I am quite shy and will do minimal talking during shoots, trying to capture the authentic side of people. It’s important that I can connect with my model.

When I’m not photographing humans, I am out exploring and taking photos of the places I go. My family has always done “day trips” where we drive to different parts of the state and take in all it has to offer, when I bring my camera with me I like to share what I see with a larger audience.

My professional experience started in September of 2017. Some of my commissioned photo jobs include clothing promo and advertizing, real estate listings, event photos, agency portfolio photos for professional models, senior pictures, family photos, maternity and newborn sessions. I am a mentor to local photographers and was teacher's assistant in a high school photography class.

 

I am constantly developing relationships with other creatives in the industry through open shoots, photo walks, stylized shoots, photo retreats and workshops. I also continously strive to improve in my art by taking photography courses, participating in Vogue Italia's Photo Vogue Festival, attending educational conferences and seeking guidance from industry veterans both locally and internationally.
